There’s a lady who is rather miffed these days at her name not being included in the list of celebrities that made their way to Macau for the recently concluded ‘Pan Bahar presents Zee Cine Awards 2012 powered by Hair and Care’, particularly when she took great pains to co-host an entire segment of the awards show with none other than hotshot producer, director and actor, Farhan Akhtar. Farhan, who along with Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra, hosted the show, brought along this “very special someone” to the podium when he arrived. “BAGWATI”, in her statement hat and glasses, sat on the platform next to the multi-faceted artiste and mumbled sweet nothings at intervals. For those who haven’t been introduced, “Bagwati” is the Hermes bag from the film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara that Akhtar had brought to life in Zoya Akhtar’s road trip film. Akhtar, meanwhile, had a blast on the stage with his witty puns and punch lines, while Khan and Chopra kept donning avatars of various actors from the movies nominated in the Best Film category. The playful anchoring by this fabulous foursome (including Bagwati, that is) was clearly enjoyed by the guffawing audience.


While on Farhan Akhtar, it was amusing to know that the actor got completely lost when he chose to explore the venue of the awards ceremony, The Venetian® Macao on his own. The Resort Hotel in Macau which has the world’s biggest casino is so huge that one needs to have a good sense of direction before one decides to move around inside it. Realizing that he had lost his way, Farhan needed to switch on his GPS to trace his way back to his room. Farhan also made quite a splash at the awards show when he walked the Red Carpet looking dapper with a stylish beard and wife Adhuna Akhtar on his arms, sending his fans into a tizzy. Farhan was also nominated across several categories at ‘Pan Bahar presents Zee Cine Awards 2012 powered by Hair and Care’ including Best Director (Don 2), Best Film (Don 2, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara) and International Icon (Male).
